The Oklahoma City Thunder are just about set to travel to Mexico City to play an NBA game.

The Thunder will play the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday in the NBA's initiative to expand the game of basketball to other continents. The Nets will also play the Miami Heat on Saturday in the same city.

When teams go on road trips, many times the players and coaches venture out into the city for some exploration and sight-seeing, especially if they have some time before a game. But Thunder head coach Billy Donovan will not be one of those people participating in any sort of excursion around Mexico City, per Fred Katz of the Norman Transcript.

That seems boring, right? Maybe Donovan has frequented Mexico City so many times that he is the one who's bored, hence his apparent boycott of fun touristy things in that particular city.

Or maybe he's like some other NBA coaches — who only like to bury themselves in basketball things and practically ignore everything else (*cough* Tom Thibodeau *cough*).

But don't be surprised if a tweet or blog post surfaces from the internet ether that contains a picture of Donovan eating some amazing-looking tacos or sipping on a margarita with some of this assistant coaches. C'mon coach, live a little.
