In the coming months, Oklahoma City Thunder star Paul George has a major decision on his hands in free agency that will dictate the next chapter of his NBA career. It is a choice that George is hoping will be somewhere he can build a long-term home as the final landing spot, according to Erik Horne of The Oklahoman.
“I'm not looking to bounce around and play for multiple teams throughout my career,” George said. “The decision I make will ultimately be to build something. So, this next decision, whatever it is, is to make sure I'm there for a duration.”
George has voiced that he hasn't given his decision much thought, he made it clear that this will be where he wants to finish his career, be it with the Thunder, Los Angeles Lakers, or another team. Whichever team he chooses to sign with will mark his home for the rest of his career.

Right now, the Lakers are the only team that truly poses a significant threat to land the 27-year-old due to his connection to the area and his adoration for the organization. George has voiced much pleasure and happiness playing in Oklahoma City, but Los Angeles keeps arising in the conversation.
There's still plenty of time and much can change that will likely hinge on how the rest of the season plays out for the Thunder. If the team is able to show promise while making a deep playoff run, it could push George to seriously consider staying with the organization next year and beyond.
All of this is expected to build toward what should be a thorough free agency process that will settle the next chapter of his career. The Thunder have the ball in their hands and reigning league MVP Russell Westbrook must do everything in his power to convince his All-Star running mate that Oklahoma City is definitely the place to be.
