Just days after being a hero to Oklahoma City Thunder fans for clapping back at Kevin Durant, Enes Kanter was traded to the New York Knicks as part of the package for Carmelo Anthony.
Kanter's departure means the end of the âStache Brothers. Jacob Davis was a witness to the sad goodbye between Kanter and fellow âStache Bro, Steven Adams, and posted a photo of it on Twitter.
Witnessed the saddest of goodbyes today. #RIP #StacheBros. Love you, @Enes_Kanter. You too @RealStevenAdams #okcthunder đđŠ pic.twitter.com/OOCa1wEqVS

After becoming teammates in 2015, Kanter and Adams came to prominence as the âStache Brothers in the 2016 playoffs, as their impressive performances â armed with equally recognizable facial hair â helped the Thunder in their run to the conference finals.
Their relationship was more than a mere gimmick or branding opportunity, though. The âStache Bros have since have developed a real friendship on and off the court. Unfortunately, the two must part ways for now in order to make way for Anthony.
But while Enes Kanter and Steven Adams won't be Thunder teammates anymore, the bond they've made goes beyond the court and even facial hair. Even though they are no longer âStache Brothers on the court, they should still be âStache Brothers for life.
