Orlando Magic guard Evan Fournier earned a $150,000 bonus after his team clinched a playoff spot.

The Magic beat the Celtics to book their ticket to the postseason. And according to  Bobby Marks of ESPN,  it activated an incentive on Fournier's contract with Orlando.

Fournier was pivotal in the Magic's win over the Celtics, tallying 24 points, five rebounds and three assists in their 116-108 victory.

The last time Orlando made the postseason was during the 2011-12 NBA season. That year, they finished 37-29 (.561) after a lockout-shortened regular season concluded.

Their lineup back then included Dwight Howard, Glen Davis, J.J. Redick, Hedo Turkoglu, Jason Richardson and Jameer Nelson. The sixth-seeded Orlando team lost in five games to the third-seeded Indiana Pacers in the first round.

Behind the exploits of Nikola Vucevic, Evan Fournier,  Aaron Gordon and an improved supporting cast, the Magic have finally ended their long playoff drought.

The Magic are currently seventh in the Eastern Conference. They have a similar 41-40 (.506) win-loss record with the Brooklyn Nets. However, the latter owns the tie-breaker, allowing Brooklyn to own the sixth seed.

If the current playoff seedings remain the same, Orlando will face the second-seeded Toronto Raptors in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
