Orlando Magic forward Franz Wagner is not going to be able to hang out in central Florida for quite awhile. The Magic player is getting blasted on social media after putting up one of the worst NBA Playoff performances of all-time. Wagner went 1-for-15 from the field, in the team's Game 7 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday. Wagner truly looked like he was acting in a Saturday Night Live sketch at times during the contest.

The Magic lost Game 7 to the Cavaliers, 106-94. Wagner finished the contest with just 6 points, in 34 minutes of play. His shooting performance included an 0-for-5 effort from beyond the arc. Wagner's 6.7 percent field goal percentage for the game is the worst in a Game 7 in NBA playoff history, per StatMuse.
Social media reaction to Wagner
Wagner's unforgettable performance (for all the wrong reasons) is getting quite a response on social media. Some of the reaction has been quite humorous.

Magic fans are also quick to point out that Wagner may want to lay low for a while.

While still others feel that some of Wagner's Magic teammates may not want to speak to him for a bit, especially Paolo Banchero. Banchero put up a valiant performance for Orlando, finishing the contest with 38 points and 16 rebounds. In the end, it just wasn't enough.

In all seriousness, it was certainly an absolute nightmare on Sunday for Wagner. What makes it worse is that it is in a Game 7 matchup that Orlando desperately needed to move on in the Eastern Conference playoffs. The Magic are sent packing early yet again in the postseason, before reaching the NBA Finals. Orlando has yet to win an NBA championship in its more than 30-year history.
Wagner's playoff performances
Wagner had been a reliable cog in the Magic offense in this season, up until Game 7. He had scored in double figures in the previous six games, with a 34-point performance in Game 4. That performance was one of Wagner's most memorable in his career, as he also finished the contest with 13 rebounds.
How quickly the winds can blow in a different direction. Sunday's performance was completely out of character for Wagner. The forward had averaged nearly 20 points a game during the regular season. Wagner was shooting 48 percent from the field.
In the Cavaliers series, Wagner could never never find his rhythm from beyond the arc, as he made only 8-for-34 from three-point range. His field goal shooting was inconsistent, as he had up and down performances from game-to-game. In Game 6, Wagner was 7-for-16 from the field, at nearly 50 percent. That is certainly much better than 6 percent.
The Magic must now watch the rest of the playoffs from home, following the series loss. Perhaps Wagner will buy Banchero a beer to make up for the difficult performance he had on the floor Sunday.
