Orlando Magic guard Michael Carter-Williams is standing in solidarity with the Milwaukee Bucks, Jacob Blake and the rest of the league.
The Bucks decided to boycott their Game 5 against the Magic in protest of the shooting of Blake in Wisconsin. Milwaukee was supposed to forfeit the game, but Orlando also followed suit and decided to not play — insisting they won't accept the East top seeds forfeiting the game.
While MCW admitted they were not given a heads up about the decision prior to to the game, the message stands nonetheless and they fully support the Bucks for taking a stand and sending a strong message.

The Bucks' decision has also escalated to the league ultimately postponing all three games that were supposedly set to play on Wednesday, with the Los Angeles Lakers, Portland Trail Blazers, Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder all deciding to similarly boycott.

As mentioned, the said protest from the Bucks, Magic and the rest of the NBA came in the heels of the recent Jacob Blake shooting at Kenosha, Wisconsin. The latest incident of police brutality in the U.S. has pushed players to take a stand and send a message against racism and social injustices — which is the main reason why they decided to play in the first place.

Recent and upcoming decisions by the players may also possibly dictate the future of the league, as there have been reports that the season is in jeopardy. The players will discuss their next steps later on Wednesday, so it remains to be seen if the playoffs will push through.
