One of the most dynamic and exciting players to watch in NBA history, former legendary Orlando Magic shooting guard Tracy McGrady will be the seventh player inducted into the franchise's hall of fame next month.

Owner Rich DeVos, co-founders Pat Williams and Jimmy Hewitt and shooting guard Nick Anderson, center Shaquille O’Neal and shooting guard Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway are the other members of the Magic Hall of Fame.

Via an article written by John Denton of the official Magic website:

“The inductees are selected based on their overall on and off the court contributions to the team and organization, years of service, impact in the community and general character of the individual,” Denton wrote.

The seven-time NBA All-Star will be honored on March 20 at halftime during Orlando's game against the Toronto Raptors, who selected him at No. 9 overall in the 1997 NBA Draft, at Amway Center.

McGrady, who was officially inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame last September, was an absolute superstar for the Magic from 2000-04.

“We are extremely excited to continue our tradition of honoring those who made the most significant contributions to our history with the induction of Tracy McGrady into the Magic Hall of Fame,” Magic CEO Alex Martins said. “Home-grown in Central Florida, T-Mac wowed us with his talent on a nightly basis, while making compassionate contributions in the community.”

In 295 career games with Orlando, McGrady averaged a whopping 28.1 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 1.53 steals per game in roughly 39.4 minutes of action per contest. In two of those seasons with the Magic, T-Mac led the NBA in scoring twice and was named the NBA’s Most Improved Player in 2000-01.
