The NBA offseason has mostly been about free agency, but a number of teams have also pulled the trigger on some interesting trades. On Saturday, the Chicago Bulls, Charlotte Hornets, and Orlando Magic finalized a three-team trade that will put a number of players on the move.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Timofey Mozgov is headed to Orlando, Bismack Biyombo is on his way to Charlotte, and Julyan Stone will relocate to Chicago.

This is already the second time Mozgov has been traded this offseason as he was traded to the Hornets from the Brooklyn Nets in a deal that included Dwight Howard.

At first glance, this looks like a deal that is about moving some undesirable contracts around in Biyombo and Mozgov. But Wojnarowski is also reporting that the Bulls are sending Jerian Grant to the Magic as well.

Grant took a nice step forward in his third-year in the NBA and he could be a valuable piece for a young Magic team that is looking to turn around their recent misfortune. Grant's per game averages for points, rebounds, and assists saw year-to-year jumps in 2017-18.

It helped that he played more minutes on a bad team, but nonetheless, he showed some promise. He'll bring much-needed backcourt depth to a team with promising young bigs in Jonathan Isaac and Mo Bamba. The backcourt needed a shot of life and Grant may be just the guy to do the job.

All three of these teams have rough seasons ahead of them. This move is an attempt by all three to do some contract shuffling as well as having the added bonus of adding a decent young player for the Orlando Magic.
