The Philadelphia 76ers will face off with the Indiana Pacers during Saturday's NBA action. They will be doing so with franchise-centerpiece Joel Embiid in the lineup, according to Serena Winters of NBC Sports Philadelphia.

Embiid is coming off a dominant performance in the 76ers' 101-95 win over the New York Knicks on Friday. He tallied 27 points, 17 rebounds, two assists, and three blocks during his display. That came after posting 33 points and 16 rebounds during his previous performance on Wednesday as well.

It has been somewhat of a down season for Embiid so far in 2019-20. He is averaging 22.2 points, 12.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.5 blocks. While that is still strong production from a player, that hasn't been the case from an efficiency standpoint. He is generating just 0.968 points per possession as a scorer, which ranks 31st out of the 54 players with 300+ possessions.

The 76ers are still noticeably adjusting to their new personnel this season after going from Jimmy Butler to Al Horford. The early return has shown that they are not as dangerous as a threat after making that change as many expected. They currently have a still 13-6 record and that ranks 5th in the Eastern Conference.

Getting a win against the Pacers will be important for the 76ers given that Indiana is riding a five-game winning streak and is just a half-game back in the standings. Philadelphia is currently 8-0 at home and is 5-6 on the road. Considering how they are hosting this matchup, that should bode well for them in this particular game.
