While some around NBA circles are sure the Brooklyn Nets robbed the bank by trading forward/center Trevor Booker to the Philadelphia 76ers for young Jahlil Okafor and Nik Stauskas and a second-round pick, head coach Brett Brown thinks that's not really the case.
The Sixers coach noted this was a swap that worked out for both parties, noting that each team will get working parts to build on what they have planned.

Brown said he's glad Okafor and Stauskas will now have an opportunity to be in the rotation, and also feels Booker will be able to give the Sixers “a level of toughness and versatility.”
While most view Booker as a borderline starter in this league, talent isn't necessarily what Philadelphia needs, but rather a veteran presence with good work ethic that can show this group how to clamp down on defense and rub off some of his grit and motor to younger guys like Ben Simmons and Dario Saric.
Booker can be the glue guy every team needs, while Okafor and Stauskas will now benefit with minutes in a team that is still under construction and hoping to salvage talent however they can get it.
