Joel Embiid is leading an interesting life as a sports fan. He is beloved by Philly fans as the entertaining and outspoken big man of the Sixers. However, he leads a double life; he doesn't fully support the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL.

Embiid's been a longtime fan of the Green Bay Packers. He expressed his support for his favorite team before its Thursday Night Football game against the Eagles.

It's understandable that he wanted to express his support to his favorite team. However, doing so against the team which represents the city you're playing for is a ballsy move for Embiid. However, it's not as if Embiid hates the Eagles. He was cheering with the rest of the city when the Eagles made their improbable Super Bowl run just the year prior. He even took to the streets and celebrated with the fans after they won Super Bowl LII.

It's understandable that Embiid can't help but root for his favorite team, and most Iggles fans definitely understand that. However, we can expect these same fans to root for him once the NBA season starts.
