Philadelphia 76ers star center Joel Embiid is not panicking amid questions surrounding the team's future following a first-round sweep at the hands of the Boston Celtics.
Embiid stated his desire to remain with the Sixers for the entirety of his career, but he also acknowledged the business of basketball could potentially preclude such a scenario (via Ben Golliver of the Washington Post).

The 26-year-old was also diplomatic in addressing head coach Brett Brown's future with the team, though he was quick to state his belief in the organization.

Philly was a trendy pick to emerge from the Eastern Conference entering the seeding games. But the Sixers took a big hit when Ben Simmons was ruled out due to a knee injury.
Article Continues BelowEmbiid had a tremendous series, averaging over 30 points and 10 rebounds while playing over 36 minutes on an injured series. But the supporting cast struggled to score or provide perimeter shooting as the Celtics routed the Sixers in four games.
It remains to be seen how Sixers general manager Elton Brand will approach this offseason.
Philly has a lot of money tied up in Simmons, Tobias Harris and Al Horford after handing all three big contracts last summer. But Harris really struggled in Orlando, and Horford was a major disappointment in his first year with the Sixers.
Brown's status is another major unknown. He has led the Sixers to three consecutive playoff appearances and a pair of series wins, but there is also a feeling Philly is underachieving given the talent on the roster.
Regardless, Embiid remains confident the franchise can turn things around in the coming years.
