Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid has made quite the turn around since he had the worst game of his career against the Toronto Raptors last week. The defending champs handed Embiid a nightmare evening and held him scoreless for the first time in his career. Embiid missed all of his 11 shots from the field and failed to convert on any of his three freethrow attempts either.

Since then, the big man has been back to his dominant ways. Following a 32-point outing in a close 119-116 win over the Indiana Pacers last night, Embiid credited the change in his mindset for his improved play as of late.

“I changed my mindset,” Embiid said via ESPN. “I hadn't been as aggressive, so I've been more aggressive creating contact and causing other people to foul me.”

In addition to his 32 points, Embiid also added 11 boards and went a perfect 15-of-15 from the freethrow line. Through three games since the game against Toronto, Embiid has been noticeably more aggressive. He is averaging 30.7 points, 14.7 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks while shooting 47.2 percent from the field.

His freethrow attempts show his aggressiveness as he has been getting to the line nearly 15 times in those three outings. What's better is that he is also converting them at an impressive rate – 90.1 percent.

That outing against Toronto certainly had some Sixers fans worried about their superstar center. Add the fact that his overall production and efficiency has regressed so far this season.

However, it seems like his zero-point game against the defending champs finally woke up the beast in him. It's great to see him actually do something about his shortcomings so far and turn it around as he did these past three games. Hopefully, he can continue his dominant ways for the rest of the season.
