Philadelphia 76ers star big man Joel Embiid has “no idea” if he'll play in Game 1 of the Sixers' first round series against the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday.

Embiid is still dealing with left knee soreness. The All-Star center missed 13 of the Sixers' final 23 games of the regular season.

“I have no idea,” Embiid said Friday, via Kyle Neubeck of Philly Voice. “[It's] just about the pain in my knee. Just got to keep working through it and see how I feel every day, and you never know what's going to happen.

“It's my decision because I'm the one feeling the pain. I know my body, so these guys, they're going to do whatever they can as far as getting me ready and healthy. But if my body doesn't respond based on the pain level, there's really nothing you can do.”

The Sixers are the third seed in the Eastern Conference standings. They are heavy favorites to beat the Nets in the first round.

Embiid played in 64 games this season. He averaged 27.5 points, 13.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists per contest while shooting 48.4 percent from the field, 30.0 percent from beyond the arc and 80.4 percent from the free-throw line.

If Embiid is unable to play in Game 1, Ben Simmons, Jimmy Butler and Tobias Harris will have to carry the load offensively for Philly.
