Joel Embiid continues to be one of the most hilarious figures in sports. His social media accounts have huge followings, and his posts are always much talked about, whatever the topic may be.
He proved that once again recently, as he joked that he wants to switch sports and become a professional football player. He even tweeted to Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton asking him if the Panthers need a wide receiver, as he thinks he can play the position for them.
Aye that's my guy so looks like I might have to switch sports @CameronNewton you need a wide receiver? 👀👀👀 https://t.co/NWioDQooZh

The three-time ProBowler and former NFL MVP quickly responded to the Philadelphia 76ers center by telling him there’s always room for his team to add more talent, which will make them better.

Their exchange proves that athletes from different pro sports are fans of one another. They also show a lot of respect, as they understand what they go through as well in order to be good in their jobs. Cam Newton is aware of the high level of Embiid's talent. After all, the Sixers big man is an All-Star and is a dominant force for the Sixers, especially inside the paint.
While the two were only sharing some laughs on Twitter, Joel Embiid may want to just focus on how to become an even better basketball player instead, as the Sixers need him to take his game to a higher level, with them geared to make it to the playoffs for the first time in six years.
They are in sixth place in the Eastern Conference with only 18 games left on their schedule, and should they make it to the postseason, Embiid will continue to be a focal point for them, and will be tasked to lead them to greater success, not just this season, but in the years to come.
