Joel Embiid might be a 7-foot behemoth on the court, but he's a true kid at heart, as his penchant for playing video games has been atop of his summer activities in the offseason. The Philadelphia 76ers franchise player wasn't happy with how FIFA 20 — which released three days earlier for those who pre-ordered prior to its Sept. 27 release — managed its own Career Mode.
Embiid had a bone to pick with how the renowned soccer franchise handled automation for the rosters included in Career Mode, especially the earlier portion of it in which teams are automatically seeded for a spot in the Champions League, as well as the English Premier League.
The center posted a message on his Instagram story, pointing to a bug in which a goalie made a near goal-line save, only for him to slide back into his own goal for an own goal.

Embiid grew up playing soccer in his native Cameroon, only discovering basketball as he grew much taller than the rest of kids around him, which turned to become his profession. Areas like his finesse in the perimeter and his footwork around the basket can be attributed to his early days playing soccer, which he still does to this day.

However FIFA isn't the only long-awaited video game to come with its share of bugs and imperfections. Recently NBA 2K20 has also navigated many issues with gameplay and balance, as other sports and non-sports titles often seem forced to address in the opening week of their release.
Hope is that EA Sports (who also made him the cover athlete for NBA Live 19) will get these issues fixed soon enough so that the 7-footer can enjoy what little is left of his offseason before he reports to Sixers' training camp.
