Philadelphia 76ers All-Star big man Joel Embiid will miss his sixth consecutive game on Tuesday when the Sixers take on the Orlando Magic.

Embiid is dealing with left knee soreness. He hasn't played since Feb. 13, although he did play in the 2019 All-Star game in Charlotte.

Philly has gone 3-2 since the All-Star break without Embiid. They are 40-23 on the season, good for fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

In 54 games this season for the Sixers, Embiid is averaging 27.3 points, 13.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists. The two-time All-Star is shooting 48.2 percent from the field, 29.5 percent from beyond the arc and 81.1 percent from the free-throw line.

Embiid, unarguably the Sixers' best player on both sides of the ball, has 48 double-doubles and one triple-double this season. Philly is 38-18 when the big man is in the lineup.

Embiid told local reporters this past weekend he's feeling better and has been ramping up his workouts. Since the 24-year-old has an extensive injury history, the Sixers are likely just playing it safe with Embiid, who missed the first two seasons of his NBA career.

Philly needs Embiid to be 100 percent for the postseason if they want to win the East and advance to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2001.
