The Sixers scored a huge 112-97 win on Monday as they took a commanding 2-0 lead over the Toronto Raptors in their opening-round series. 76ers superstar Joel Embiid suffered a bit of an injury scare during the game, though, but it looks like there is no cause for concern.
Embiid, who was also seen limping off at halftime, looked like he was in considerable pain holding onto his elbow towards the latter part of the game. However, the Sixers superstar was quick to play down the injury in his post-game interview (h/t NBA on TNT on Twitter):
“It was pretty sore but it's the playoffs, gotta fight through it,” Embiid said.

Here's the incident where Embiid accidentally hit his elbow on teammate Matisse Thybulle. The Sixer big man immediately clutched his elbow and it really looked like he was in pain:

Embiid powered through the injury and he was able to finish the game for the Sixers. He finished with a game-high 31 points on 9-of-16 shooting and 12-of-14 from the line, to go along with 11 rebounds.
The series will now shift to Toronto with the Raptors now under pressure to win both games at home in order to tie the series.
