Philadelphia 76ers superstar Joel Embiid has been killing it to start the new season. On Wednesday, the 24-year-old caught fire yet again, scoring 30 big points and grabbing 19 boards against the Milwaukee Bucks, and in the process matching a 30-year-old record set by Sixers legend Charles Barkley.
.@JoelEmbiid is the first @sixers player to post at least 30 points and 10 rebounds in four straight games since Charles Barkley did so from Nov. 28-Dec. 3, 1988.

Aside from the points and the rebounds, Embiid also chipped in two three-pointers, six assists, three blocks, and just two turnovers in 36 minutes of action against Giannis Antetokounmpo and co.
On the season, the 7-foot big man has averaged a mind-blowing 29.6 points (sixth in the league) on 48.6 percent shooting, 1.2 three-pointers, 12.4 rebounds (10th in the league), 4.2 assists, 0.4 steals, and 2.4 blocks (fifth in the league) in 35.6 minutes per contest.

Embiid's outstanding performance was overshadowed by an equally incredible stud in Antetokounmpo. The Bucks superstar scored 32 points, grabbed 18 boards, and handed out 10 dimes to record his first triple-double of the new campaign.
The Bucks emerged victorious on the evening with a final scoreline of 123-108, keeping their unblemished record intact.
Despite Embiid's MVP-worthy numbers, the Sixers have now suffered back-to-back defeats in the span of two nights. The team are now 2-3 in the standings and are hoping to get back to their winning ways on the next home game come Saturday.
However, it will certainly not be a walk in the park as Embiid and co. are slated to face the raging Kemba Walker and his Charlotte Hornets at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday night. That should be a good one, folks.
