Sixers big man Joel Embiid will be held out of Thursday night's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder as he continues to recover from a sore knee, according to Keith Pompey of the Philly Inquirer.
Pompey also notes that Embiid, whose MRI didn't show any structural damage, is yet to receive a re-evaluation, though it is expected to happen in the coming days. He was initially expected to miss a week or so of action:
#Sixers center @JoelEmbiid will NOT play against #OKCThunder. The Sixers will be without the #AllStar and backup center @BobanMarjanovic in the game. Embiid has yet to be re-evaluated. That will happen in the coming days. His status will be determined during that time.

Embiid has established himself as one of the best big men in the league. The former No. 3 overall pick has made 54 appearances with the Sixers this season, racking up averages of 27.3 points on 48.2 percent shooting from the field (29.5 percent from beyond the arc), 13.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.9 blocks in 33.7 minutes per outing.

In other Sixers-related injury news, Bonan Marjanovic suffered a right knee injury during Monday night's game against the Pelicans. While battling for a loose ball, Cheick Diallo fell into his ankle. MRI exams were taken on Tuesday:
When asked about Boban Marjanovic’s MRI, Brett Brown confirmes the MRI came back negative, which was a sigh of relief.
But, we are still waiting for more information on Boban’s official diagnosis and how long he will be out. (He will not play Thursday). #Sixers

If Marjanovic is ruled out of Thursday's game against the Thunder, Jonah Bolden and Mike Scott would likely see upticks in their usage rates.
Thursday night's Sixers-Thunder matchup is scheduled to tip inside Chesapeake Energy Arena at 8:00 p.m. ET, with TNT having live broadcast coverage.
