Philadelphia and Sixers fans really have no chill when it comes to Ben Simmons!

On Friday, a viral clip emerged from a local Philly television station and the anchors went all the way in on Simmons, showing a video of a garbage can floating away in water and comparing it to the Sixers' all-star.

The, “He hit his head on the way out,” comment as the garbage can slammed into a bridge is hilariously perfect. When the local news stations start taking aim at the 76ers guard/forward hybrid, you know it's at a new level with the Simmons shade.

Simmons has made it known to the organization that he does not plan on returning to Philly even if he's still on the roster when training camp rolls around. It's put the Sixers' front office in a spot where a trade at some point seems almost imminent.

Simmons struggled mightily in the playoffs last season for the 76ers and heard it from the Philly faithful as they were booed off the court after being eliminated by the Atlanta Hawks.

There's always been a common knowledge that Philly fans give the tough love approach at times with their athletes and Simmons' case somewhat falls into that category except there hasn't been much of any love shown from the fans lately. It's hard to blame them after the disaster in the playoffs and then the story leaking about Simmons wanting away from the franchise.
