Since he made his debut for the Philadelphia 76ers last season, Joel Embiid has made a name for himself as one of the best big men in the league today. Although a pair of knee injuries prevented him to play in the first two seasons after he was drafted, he has been able to showcase his impressive skill set to the delight of the Philly faithful.

A video even surfaced recently that proves he was already a very talented player at a young age, way before he entered the NBA, and prior to his injuries. The clip of him playing in JV high school basketball game shows just that, as he scored in different ways, and also dominated on the defensive end.

It's noticeable that Embiid was still lankier, and at times looked like a raw talent, but with how he plays now, it goes to show how much he has improved further. The Cameroonian international is emerging as one of the better two-way players today as well, and looks geared to lead the Sixers to more success in the coming years.

The video may serve as a reminder to Embiid of how far he has come since his JV high school playing days. It could also serve as motivation for him to work even harder to get better, as the clip made it clear that he already had the talent to make it big someday.
