The Philadelphia Sixers continued their strong preseason by taking on the Dallas Mavs at the Mercedes Benz-Arena in Shanghai, with marksman J.J. Redick and rookie Landry Shamet firing in all cylinders in the first half, combining for 37 points in a near-perfect 12-of-13 from the floor.

Redick, who made his move to the bench after coach Brett Brown prompted starting Markelle Fultz due to his two-way prowess, lit up the Chinese nets with 19 points — shooting a perfect 7-of-7, including a glowing 4-of-4 from deep, which included an eye-popping 4-point play.

Shamet tallied 19 points on 5-of-6 shooting (3-of-4 from deep), coming in and firing confidently. The two guards lead the Sixers in scoring, as they took a slight 64-62 lead to halftime.

Surely an exciting sight to behold, even if it is overseas — as this Sixers roster is showing plenty of promise under Brett Brown's re-shuffled offensive system, one that should see the likes of Redick and Shamet flourish within their roles.
