Jimmy Butler made his Sixers debut Wednesday night on the road against the Orlando Magic and it didn't take long for the four-time All-Star to get in the scoring column.
Off a backdoor cut from the left wing, Jimmy Butler received a nice pass from Sixers All-Star big man Joel Embiid and the 29-year-old Texas native finished if off with a nice layup in traffic.

The Sixers acquired Jimmy Butler from the Minnesota Timberwolves. Philadelphia is hoping with Butler in the mix, they can reach the NBA Finals in a wide-open Eastern Conference.

In 10 games this season with the Timberwolves, Butler averaged 21.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.3 assists while shooting 47.1 percent from the field, 37.8 percent from beyond the arc and 78.7 percent from the free-throw line.
Butler won't be the number one option in Philadelphia. That title goes to Joel Embiid. However, Butler is a good isolation scorer and he'll help the Sixers win games late in the fourth quarter. Butler entered Wednesday as the number one scorer in the NBA in the fourth quarter.
Butler could become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2019 if he declines his 2019-20 player-option. Sixers general manager Elton Brand said Tuesday that he hopes this is a long-term partnership with Butler.
