In today's NBA, your big man has to have some level of ball skills. Philadelphia 76ers star big man Joel Embiid is aware of that, so the Sixers' franchise cornerstone was doing some pregame point guard drills ahead of Monday night's home game against the Phoenix Suns.

Not bad for a 7-footer, although Sixers head coach Brett Brown probably wants Joel Embiid more in the post than the perimeter.

Embiid is having another stellar season. The 24-year-old All-Star center is averaging 27.7 points, 12.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists so far this year while shooting 45.9 percent from the floor, 32.9 percent from beyond the arc and 81.4 percent from the free-throw line.

There's been a few times this season where Embiid has actually brought the ball up the court. The more versatile your big man can be, the better. Soon enough, we might be seeing Joel Embiid cross players over. If you thought his troll game was good now, just wait and see what it will become if he starts breaking people's ankles.

The Sixers, who recently acquired four-time All-Star small forward Jimmy Butler from the Minnesota Timberwolves, enter Monday with a record of 11-7. The team is looking for its third-straight win on Monday. Let's see if Embiid is going to break out his new handles.
