Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns are headed to the NBA Finals after an amazing season and postseason run. Their opponent is the Milwaukee Bucks and the first game is on Tuesday in Phoenix. Ahead of the NBA Finals, current analyst and former Suns legend Charles Barkley offered up some advice to Booker and Chris Paul as they set out to bring home an NBA championship.

According to Greg Moore of the Arizona Republic, Barkley doesn't want the current Suns to make the same mistake as Barkley's group did.

“If I’m Book or Chris, I’m gonna be more vocal and more aggressive to start the game, to get us off to a good start…it’s really different. You go from 50 reporters to 1,000 reporters, and it’s a shock to your system… The excitement. The nerves. The energy. Whatever words you can use, it’s different.”

Barkley also blamed himself for not being ready for Game 1 of the 1993 NBA Finals, but he was marvelous all year and a huge reason why the Suns got there in the first place.

Fast forward to now and Chris Paul has waited for his entire career for a trip to the NBA Finals and should be more ready than ever after the long wait. Booker has been sensational in the playoffs and shouldn't slow down, but Barkley wants to see them run out of the gate and step on the gas.

Deandre Ayton, Jae Crowder, and the rest of the Suns' squad will have another tough task ahead of them, with or without Giannis Antetokounmpo suiting up for Milwaukee.

Game 1 is Tuesday night in Phoenix, and let's see if the Suns listen to Barkley's advice.
