The Phoenix Suns had a sneaky good 2022 trade deadline. They didn't make any big splashes but still made some nice additions to the roster by acquiring Torrey Craig from the Indiana Pacers and Aaron Holiday from the Washington Wizards. Both players will be available tonight as the Suns take on the Orlando Magic.

Craig, who Phoenix got in exchange for Jalen Smith and a 2022 second-round draft pick, played 51 games with the Pacers this season. He spent the end of last season with the Suns, playing a bench role with them as they made it to the NBA Finals. Just half of a season later, he's back to help the Suns repeat as Western Conference champions.

The Suns' players were thrilled to get him back. Craig said that Devin Booker, Chris Paul and Jae Crowder immediately called him on FaceTime when the news broke that he was coming back.

Across the Suns' 22 playoff games last season, Craig averaged just 4.0 points but shot 40.7 percent from downtown. His tough defense makes him a solid contributor off the bench. His familiarity makes him an even better fit for the Suns, who boast the NBA's best record.

The Suns have legitimate championship aspirations, driven by the desire to get Paul a ring before his career ends. They also have the talent to get back to the championship and finish what they started. Depth was a key factor in their run to the title last year and now have even more veteran reinforcements.
