Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker has some jokes about the team's $25,000 fine over his injury report in Game 6 of their playoffs series against the New Orleans Pelicans; however, he admits he doesn't understand the rule and the reason for the punishment.
Ahead of Game 1 of their second round showdown with the Dallas Mavericks, Booker was asked about the fine and joked that it was the Suns that got it and not him, basically implying he has no role in it or whatsoever. That also shows he's not paying anything for the fine.
The Suns star went on to discuss the reason for the punishment and came to the defense of the team as he highlighted he was really not sure if he could play in the said matchup, per Gerald Bourguet of PHNX Sports.
“I ain’t get nothing, the Suns got it, man,” Devin Booker joked about the $25,000 fine.

To recall, Devin Booker was ruled out for the Suns in Game 6 against the Pelicans due to his hamstring injury. However, hours before tip-off, the team declared him available to play.
The NBA noted that it violated the league's rules with regards to injury reporting, highlighting that “the team failed to disclose guard Devin Booker’s participation status in an accurate and timely manner prior to Game 6.”
Perhaps the decision was made because the Suns listed Booker as out instead of doubtful or questionable–which would have left some chance for him to come back.
Regardless, the punishment has been handed down and the Suns can't do anything about it anymore. Besides, they can't think too much about trivial things as they face off against a red-hot Mavs team.
