Devin Booker has been on an absolute tear this season for the Phoenix Suns. The franchise guard has carried his team to some monstrous wins this season. When they needed a boost without Chris Paul, Booker delivered for them on all fronts.

Booker's epic 2021 season saw him earn yet another accolade on the Suns record book. His near-fifty burger against the Denver Nuggets saw D-Book eclipse Amar'e Stoudemire on the all-time scoring list, moving to sixth overall.

It's important to note that Booker is still only 25 years old, and is just about to enter his physical prime. It's crazy to think that at such a young age (in basketball terms, at least), he's already close to becoming a top three scorer for the Suns. The fact that he played on some absolutely awful Phoenix teams makes this a lot more impressive.

The Suns haven't necessarily needed Booker to perform the way he's been balling out recently. Even without both Booker and Paul, Monty Williams' crew has found a way to keep the ball rolling. They have had big wins over some good teams even without their stars. Having Booker go supernova is just a neat little addition to them at this point.

With the Suns playing the way they do now, they are the clear favorites to take home the Larry O'Brien trophy come June. Anything less than a Finals appearance will be a disappointment. Can they finish the job and finally win it all after falling short last year? Based on how they're playing, it becomes clear that answer is yes. Chris Paul's imminent return all but finalizes their status as the best team in the NBA today.
