Devin Booker brought some much-needed life into the arena on Friday night. Following a very lethargic opening half of the Phoenix Suns' matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans, Booker lit a fire under his squad late in the third quarter – rising up to posterize one of the most popular yet unpopular names in basketball, Anthony Davis.

A dunk that appears to be one of the best that we've seen out of the 22-year-old shooting guard in his career.

As you can probably gather from the video's background noise, there were many individuals among the Talking Stick Resort Arena crowd who were delightfully regaled with seeing Booker dominate one of the league's most imposing shot blockers.

They also likely aren't huge fans of Davis' recent extemporaneous trade request debacle, as its grown a sense of repugnance around the league after Kawhi Leonard and Jimmy Butler were akin to the stunt earlier this year.

The 25-year-old Davis will stew in New Orleans until the organization can draw up its best move this summer. They are currently out of playoff contention at 28-36, with 18 games left in the regular season. Davis is averaging 27.3 points, 12.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 2.5 blocks for the Pelicans in his seventh NBA campaign.

Despite a 26-point performance from Devin Booker, Phoenix collapsed yet again 130-116, leaving them with a 12-51 record.

“I feel like we played to the energy of the game,” Booker told reporters after the loss. “I feel like both teams early on didn’t have a lot of energy early on and we fed into that and it was a downward spiral since then.”

Booker has averaged 24.6 points, 6.8 assists, and 4.0 rebounds in his fourth year with the Phoenix Suns.
