During the holiday season, many people like to make references or purchase products that represent classical films. Some people wear ugly sweaters. Some people drink their eggnog. Others, bring leg lamps.
Damian Lillard of the Portland Trailblazers took this to heart and brought a leg lamp to the game with a basketball shoe on it. This is parodying the famous “A Christmas Story” film, where Ralphie's father unboxed his prized shoe lamp.

This is very funny, even the Blazers official twitter account poked fun of the whole “what was in the box” as Ralphie and his family wondered during that very famous film.
Lillard has been a vital part of the Blazers success this season. There was buzz last year that he might even be an MVP candidate. This season Lillard has averaged 27.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 5.9 assists while shooting 45 percent from the field.

The Blazers are 19-14 on the year and rank 4th in the NBA's Western Conference under head coach Terry Stotts. They average 111.4 points per game which ranks 12th overall in the entire NBA. They do allow 110.7 points per game, which ranks 16th overall in the entire league.
The Blazers will play next in Golden State against the Warriors on Thursday.
