Damian Lillard is one of the best basketball players on the planet. The Portland Trail Blazers star also happens to be one of the league's best lyricists, regarded by hip hop fans as one of the best ballplayers who can spit bars.

His latest rap beef is with Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal. Shaq opened fire with him after releasing his diss track, “Freestyle”. It was a hard-hitting song that lampooned on Lillard's lack of significant silverware.

Lillard responded with his own track, “Reign Reign Go Away”. He responded with fire, calling Shaq out for winning his first titles thanks to Kobe Bryant as well as his poor free throw percentage.

The Portland guard, who goes by Dame D.O.L.L.A. for his rap projects, released a new diss track to add fuel to the fire.

Lillard continued calling Shaq out for his rap game. He claimed that O'Neal used ghostwriters for his diss track. For hoops fans who aren't familiar with the scene, being accused of using ghostwriters is the rap equivalent of using performance-enhancing drugs.

Dame also called out the NBA legend for his love-hate relationship with Charles Barkley. He said that he will not let this beef end on his terms, even saying that money cannot stop him from keeping up with the bars.

This is not the first time Lillard got into the booth to do battle with a baller. Earlier in the summer, he traded barbs with Marvin Bagley III after the Sacramento Kings bi man claimed to be the best rapper in the league.

This won't likely be the last time we hear from either man, but it's looking to be an entertaining one so far.
