Damian Lillard reiterated yet again earlier this week that he's fully committed to the Portland Trail Blazers. Despite a wholly disappointing start to the regular season and Neil Olshey's dismissal as general manager, the Blazers are returning that loyalty to the best player in franchise history.
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Portland has “no interest” in trading Lillard amid forthcoming efforts to improve the roster, with interim general manager Joe Cronin going so far as to alert the Philadelphia 76ers that he's unavailable.
Lillard has repeatedly expressed his commitment to want to remain in Portland on his current long-term contract, and interim GM Joe Cronin has also expressed a strong commitment to continue building the franchise around the All-NBA guard.

Sixers general manager Daryl Morey has made clear time and again that he has no interest in trading absent All-Star Ben Simmons for anything less than a superstar who would improve Philly's title hopes. Though Blazers guard C.J. McCollum has been frequently mentioned as a potential target for the Sixers in a Simmons trade, it's an open secret across the league that Morey was holding out hope Lillard and Portland would eventually agree to part ways.
The Blazers' chaotic start to 2021-22 culminated in Olshey's firing last week, and Cronin made clear on Thursday that he's intent on making changes to the roster that don't involve Lillard. A day earlier, the eight-time All-Star—sidelined by abdominal tendinopathy since November 29th—went on the record with his plans to remain in Rip City long-term.
If Morey's desired market for Simmons never materializes, there's still an outside chance the former No. 1 overall pick ends up in Portland. But unfortunately for the Sixers, it's never been more apparent that sending Simmons to the Blazers wouldn't bring Damian Lillard to the City of Brotherly Love.
