Coming off of their 130-113 win over the Sacramento Kings, the Portland Trail Blazers will again be without starting guard Shaedon Sharpe (hip) and starting center Deandre Ayton (knee tendonitis) for Thursday night's game against the San Antonio Spurs.
Look for a similar lineup tomorrow with Sharpe and Ayton out again. Brown in for rebounding and Reath off the bench. https://t.co/6zqxxa35iv

While the Blazers will undoubtedly miss both players, they saw success with their bench unit on Tuesday night, with backup center Duop Reath notching a career-high 25 points. The Blazers' bench scored 65 points in the win.
The Spurs potentially pose a unique problem for the Blazers, since they feature rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama at center. Should Reath or Moses Brown struggle or get into foul trouble, the team would miss Ayton especially. But Spurs coach Gregg Popovich has already said that Wembanyama won't be playing both games of the Spurs' back-to-back set. It's not quite clear yet, however, whether the 19-year-old Frenchman will be playing the first or second game.

Wemby stepped on a ball boy's foot late last week and is not at 100 percent.
For the Blazers, they'll continue to lean on the sharpshooting Anfernee Simons. Ant has been red-hot of late, averaging more than 29 points over the Blazers' last six games.
With Sharpe out, expect Malcolm Brogdon and Scoot Henderson to continue to carry the load at the guard positions. Henderson had probably his best game as a pro on Tuesday night, putting up 17 points and 11 assists against only one turnover. Brogdon chipped in 19 points stepping in as the starter for Sharpe.
The Blazers take on the San Antonio Spurs at Moda Center on Thursday.
