Carmelo Anthony is trying to rehabilitate his career with the Portland Trail Blazers in his what might be his final season in the NBA. However, he still provides enough flashes that his offseason workout videos continue to intrigue NBA fans and front offices alike.

In the Blazers’ Monday night game against the Chicago Bulls, Melo looked to be getting into his typical high-scoring style of old by dropping 12 points in the first quarter against Chicago.

Though Anthony is averaging a career-low 13.0 points per game on a career-low 41.8 percent true shooting percentage, the Blazers are in a precarious situation in which they need someone — anyone — to provide some offense for them on a spot basis.

Melo is known for his scoring histrionics, and if the early returns on Monday are any indication, the 35-year-old still has some of that old spark left in him.
