Keegan Murray was taken fourth overall in the 2022 NBA Draft by the Sacramento Kings and so far in the NBA Summer League, he's fully living up to the hype. The ex-Iowa standout had another massive performance on Wednesday night, going off for 29 points. That was his fifth 20+ point game in Vegas already. No other rookie has done so.

As noted, the 13 other lottery picks have a combined six 20-point games and Bennedict Mathurin is the only other player with multiple. Keegan Murray is already proving that he could make an immediate impact for the Kings in Year 1. There was a belief they might draft Jaden Ivey instead, but with a need for another wing, Sacramento pulled the trigger on Murray. Needless to say, it was a good decision.

But, we also have to remember this is Summer League competition right now. The NBA is a whole different beast. Nonetheless, it's really a great sign to see Murray showing out on a nightly basis. He's also shooting 37% from downtown and grabbing 6.3 rebounds per game.

There should be no shortage of opportunities for Keegan Murray in 2022-23 with the Kings and you better believe the organization is absolutely buzzing to see him playing at such a high level. He's not only shining offensively, either. Murray is showing serious promise on the defensive end and even notched four steals on Wednesday. If he continues to play with confidence and be aggressive, perhaps a Rookie of the Year could be in the cards. Only time will tell. For now, though, Kings fans have something to cheer about.
