The Sacramento Kings coaching staff is beginning to take shape. New head coach Luke Walton made four additions on Sunday and the Kings expect to add at least two more.

Bob Beyer is an experienced coach who has worked with six NBA franchises. He last worked for the Oklahoma City Thunder as an assistant coach.

Jesse Mermuys has experience as a video coordinator and a head coach in the D-League. He made the jump to the NBA as an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Lakers, where he worked under Walton.

Roy Rana is a Canadian coach who has an extensive career coaching the U18 and U19  national teams. He has won four medals (one gold) while coaching these teams. He has little experience coaching in the NBA.

Lastly, Bobby Jackson is a former NBA player who played six seasons for the Kings. He has been an assistant coach for Sacramento as well as a player development coach for the Minnesota Timberwolves. He will likely focus on player development for the Kings.

Overall, it looks like the Kings have put together a solid staff. The team has proven that they are talented enough to take the next leap to become a playoff contender. Walton and his assistants will have to guide them along the right path as they look to reach their potential.
