Matt Jones, who played four years for the Duke Blue Devils and won a national title with the team in 2015, has recently been signed by the Sacramento Kings to a training camp deal per Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee.

Because it’s just a camp deal, Jones isn’t anywhere close to cracking up the opening day roster of the Kings – at least for the moment. It’s more likely that Jones would end up plying his trade for Sacramento’s G-League affiliate team in Reno, considering that the Kings don’t have any more space left on their roster and available spots for a two-way contract to offer to Jones.

Matt Jones put up an average of 6.4 points per game and shot 37.0 percent from beyond the arc in his college career, He had his best year in 2015-16, when he normed 10.4 points and dished out 2.3 assists per game in helping the Blue Devils bring the championship to Durham.
