A day after meeting with the Los Angeles Clippers, JaVale McGee is making another stop on his free-agency tour. This time, the Sacramento Kings are on tap.
ESPN's Chris Haynes has it that the McGee will make a trip out to Sacramento this Thursday to see what the Kings can offer the veteran center.

It appears that the seven-foot McGee is enjoying his stay in sunny California. His first and only stint on the West Coast was when he joined the Golden State Warriors last season. And so far, the Flint, Michigan native has yet to explore options outside of the literal Golden State, with just the Clippers and the Kings as his two destinations of choice.
McGee will serve as a fine backup for upstart Willie Cauley-Stein and could realistically have some time with the starting role in place of the 23-year-old out of Kentucky. One thing's clear: the Kings are looking to replace another center on their roster in Kosta Koufos, who was a healthy scratch for the final eight games last season and isn't quite what the Kings had bargained for. Koufos still has two years left on his contract and is currently the highest-paid player on the Kings' payroll ($8.3 million).
