The rift between the San Antonio Spurs and Kawhi Leonard has apparently come to the brink, as the star forward reportedly does not want to step foot in the Spurs' locker room again, according to ESPN international announcer Alvaro Martin.

The Spurs remain adamant that no team will force them into a trade before this upcoming season's February trade deadline.

San Antonio, as usual, remains hellbent to its ways — hoping they could solve issues internally over the course of the season and right the ship, before losing their best player to a contender.

The Spurs are also relying in a decades-long policy of not helping another Western Conference team by trading their players there, rather waiting to let them out as free agents.

Yet this scenario remains unprecedented, as none of their stars have grown as upset as Leonard has during this past season after disagreements in his quad diagnosis led to a clear divide between the Spurs and his camp, which has now grown determined to find him a new home.

The Lakers have recently made a major push to acquire Leonard through a trade, but the Spurs have remained hellbent in keeping him.

L.A. would have to make an offer too hard to resist for the Spurs to consider trading their franchise gem, and the time is ticking — as Leonard is reportedly the main target to potentially move the needle in the Lakers' favor for signing LeBron James this offseason.
