Los Angeles Lakers swingman Danny Green cannot bear to watch highlights of the 2013 NBA Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and the Miami Heat. And it's all because of Ray Allen's clutch shot in Game 6 which sent the game to overtime.
In an interview with ESPN's Omar Raja, Green admitted that every time he comes across Allen's highlights from the 2013 NBA Finals, he can't stand to watch it.
“Every time they show the highlights of Ray Allen's shot or Miami, I can't watch the clip. I can't like the post,” the Lakers sharpshooter said.
For some context, the Spurs were up 3-2 in the series. With less than 20 seconds left, they had a three-point lead in Game 6. Their immediate task was to put up their best defensive stance and they would come away with the title.
As seen in the clip below, LeBron James jacked up a quick 3-pointer but missed. But somehow, someway, Chris Bosh was able to snag the offensive rebound over three Spurs players. As if by cue, Ray Allen — one of the greatest 3-point shooters of all-time — was tiptoeing behind the 3-point line.
Once he got the pass from Bosh, Allen didn't hesitate one bit.

It was such a traumatic experience for the Lakers vet that he can't even watch highlight reels of clutch shots. Green knows that it will eventually show Allen's historic 3-pointer.
“Even if its a bunch of shots with Kawhi in it… You know all the clutch shots by Dame, Kawhi, then somehow Ray Allen's shot. I'm like ‘damn it, I can't like this post,” Danny Green added.
It's a pity that Green can't enjoy one of the greatest clutch shots in NBA history mainly because he was on the receiving end of it. But it was still gutsy of him to share this experience.
