The San Antonio Spurs have won seven of their last eight games and six of those wins have come at home. Spurs shooting guard DeMar DeRozan says the team wanted to make it a priority to get on a winning streak at home, and that's exactly what they have done.

DeMar DeRozan and the Spurs have beaten the Los Angeles Lakers, Utah Jazz, Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers and Minnesota Timberwolves at home during this recent stretch. The one blemish on the schedule was a terrible loss at home to the lowly Chicago Bulls, a game the Spurs led by double-digits at one point.

After getting off to a slow start this season, the Spurs are now 18-15 on the season, seventh place in the rugged Western Conference.

“We had a lot of ups and downs at the beginning of the season, which was expected,” DeMar DeRozan said. “We just stayed patient, continued to chip away at it. We had a great opportunity to come back home in December and having a home stand to try to get our rhythm going and that's where we are at.”

In his first season in San Antonio, DeRozan is averaging 23.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game and shooting 47.8 percent from the field, 16.2 percent from beyond the arc and 84.5 percent from the free-throw line.

The Spurs are going to go as far as DeRozan takes them. It looks like he's getting more comfortable in his new home.
