For San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili’s three sons, he’s not only their hero. He’s also an inspiration for thinking of a nice Halloween costume to wear—at least to one of them, who decided to dress like a bat.
That’s three-year-old Luca, who probably got the idea—or someone told him—of going trick or treating as a nocturnal creature from an on-court incident a few years back involving his dad.

The 7-year-old twins dressed up as a ghost and a ninja. Luca, the youngest, was a bat.
The 3-year-old’s choice raised eyebrows, considering Ginobili’s painful history with the creature of the night.
Back in 2009, Manu Ginobili famously swatted a bat who dared disturb the Spurs' game at the AT&T Center on Halloween night. Fans get a kick out of that. Ginobili risking having rabies just to make sure the game continues was probably the most heroic thing an NBA player did in a game. But that’s Manu Ginobili, who will now forever be remembered as much for his unorthodox ways on the court as the day he became Batman.
