The San Antonio Spurs and their star, Kawhi Leonard, are at odds over how his injury has been handled. It was reported that Leonard has been cleared to play, but he wanted to get a second opinion. The bad news is that he seems to have chosen to stay out.

Gregg Popovich recently came out and said he would be “surprised” if Leonard came back this season.
However, that's not to say there isn't a little fun to be had about the situation, which has been very bizarre, to say the least. Bleacher Report, one of the best websites that edits videos from popular culture and superimposes NBA players' faces, recently came out with a take on Leonard's situation that reminds one of the hilarious Will Ferrell movie, “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.”

For those that don't remember the movie, Ricky Bobby was a race car driver who rose to stardom and then experienced some dire straights after experiencing a horrific crash. While recovering in the hospital, he thinks he is paralyzed. To prove it, he stabs himself in the leg and quickly realizes his legs work. Hence the above video.
The video is obviously eluding to the idea that perhaps Leonard really is good to go play and he has to try to find out exactly what he can do and what he can't. Perhaps he could surprise everyone — including himself — if he were to take the floor and give it a go.

However, there is obviously something else going on with Leonard's injury that he feels needs to be addressed further. Only the former Defensive Player of the Year award winner knows his body and what exactly will feel right. The Spurs have managed to stay afloat, but his presence is of great importance.
Until then, keep Leonard away from the knives.
