Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid has taken “The Process” to a new low.
After practice on Tuesday, Embiid changed his footwear. But it wasn't the usual slides that many NBA players wear, which has their last names and team logos on them.
Embiid, the NBA's resident social media master, brought out what may be new after-practice slides. They incorporate his nickname, The Process, into the 76ers logo, per Jessica Camerato of NBC Sports Philadelphia.

There are many great parts of this whole slides thing with Embiid. First, they look very comfortable. I think anyone would be crazy not to want a pair for themselves.
But possibly the best part of this is that Embiid changed into these. It appears he had the foresight to go into this bag or locker or whatever, and think to himself that it would be good idea for him to rock this particular set of slides.

There has been some talk that the 76ers organization doesn't very much like that Embiid goes around calling himself The Process, a term first uttered by former general manager Sam Hinkie. There are some in the organization who may consider it a pejorative.
If that's true, it makes perfect sense for Embiid to get his own slides made. He embraces the nickname, and The Process itself, as he was an integral part of it.
The next step for Embiid is to start selling these. It only makes sense.
