Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid wasted no time trolling Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball following their 115-109 win at Staples Center. It was a career night for Embiid, who finished with 46 points, 15 rebounds, seven assists, and seven blocks, while Ball's shooting woes continue to plague his season.

It may seem like Embiid has it out for the Lakers rookie given his recent jabs on social media. However, despite Ball's poor performance so far this year, the Sixers big man still thinks they need to ‘trust' the No. 2 overall pick.

It was not the first time Joel Embiid had taken a shot at Lonzo Ball through social media, so it is a bit surprising to see that he still has high praise for the Lakers rookie's game despite the recent struggles. However, it has become more difficult to ‘trust the process' with the former UCLA guard's porous performance through the first 14 games of the 2017-18 NBA season.

Ball finished the game with just two points and two assists while going 1-of-9 from the field. His shooting troubles began to affect the rest of his game and as a result, spent the final minutes of the loss watching from the sidelines. That said, it is clear that Embiid and the Sixers are much further along the rebuilding ‘process' than the Lakers are.
