The Philadelphia 76ers selected Tyrese Maxey with the 21st overall pick in a move to add some help in their backcourt. Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James was tuned in to the draft, and he was one of the first to congratulate the former Kentucky standout for now officially being part of the NBA and Sixers family.
James took to Twitter to send a congratulatory message to both Maxey and the Sixers:

Tyrese Maxey, a 6-foot-3 guard, is currently managed by the company of LeBron James and super-agent Rich Paul, Kltuch Sports. He is one of the latest young stars to have joined the powerhouse agency.
Article Continues BelowIn Maxey, the Sixers get a capable combo guard with the capability to put the ball in the basket. The former Wildcat also has a relatively formidable jumper and possesses the athletic ability to play above the rim. In 31 games played for Kentucky last season, the 20-year-old averaged 14.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists, all while also connecting on 1.1 triples per contest.
Philly made waves earlier on Wednesday, with the team deciding to trade for Danny Green from the Oklahoma City Thunder. In exchange, the Sixers sent Al Horford and his massive deal to OKC, along with a couple of draft picks.
Green was also just recently traded to the Thunder from the Lakers, but it now appears that he's finally found his new home in Philadelphia.
