Joel Embiid spent most of his summer training with Dew Hanlen of Pure Sweat Basketball. Nevertheless, Embiid still found some time to sharpen some of his board game skills — and we’re not talking about rebounding. — we’re talking about Monopoly, the board game.

Unlike most other famous athletes who’d likely roll their eyes first when asked to roll the dice, Embiid looked genuinely amused playing the classic dinner table game.

It wasn’t in this game that Embiid made a ton of money, however. Despite playing in just 35 games since entering the league in 2014, the Sixers signed the Cameroonian to a five-year, $146.5 million deal just before the 2017-18 season kicked off.

Embiid may not realize this, but Philadelphia is among the best of late when it comes to Monopoly with its monopolizing of top draft picks, to be precise.
