The San Antonio Spurs got back on track after taking a road loss against the Detroit Pistons last Saturday by downing the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden Tuesday, 100-91. There are plenty of stories to get from this game like Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich copping the solo spot in the all-time coaching wins and the fact that LaMarcus Aldridge and Kawhi Leonard both scored at least 25 points in a game for the first time this season.
We also learned from this game that Spurs veteran guard and resident old player Manu Ginobili is still a magician with the basketball.

At one point in the second half of the game, Ginobili tried to throw a lob pass for Aldridge, who was near the rim. Instead of Aldridge receiving the pass, the ball went straight down the basket, barely causing the net to move at all. It should count as a three-pointer, but it did not reflect right away on the scoreboard because Knicks forward Michael Beasley picked up the ball and ran down the court without inbounding the leather the way it should be after a made basket.

The game’s officials eventually realized what happened and straightened things up.
On a side note, Beasley’s error was reminiscent of that one time when J.R. Smith inbounded a ball after rebounding an air ball shot from Tyreke Evans.
