A few days ago, the Phoenix Suns won a game against the Memphis Grizzlies via a buzzer-beating dunk by big man Tyson Chandler. Tonight, they eked out another close victory at home, this time thanks to a fantastic defensive effort by Marquese Chriss, who erased what could have been a game-winning shot by Atlanta Hawks forward Taurean Prince.

It was a spectacular way for the Suns to preserve the win. Prior to Chriss’ perfectly-timed block on Prince’s shot attempt, the Suns got the lead when Devin Booker connected on all three free-throw attempts he took following a shooting foul called on Atlanta guard Kent Bazemore with 12.3 seconds left on the game clock.

In the end, Phoenix won, 104-103, which is the Suns’ third victory in their last four games.

As usual, it was Devin Booker who paced the Suns, scoring 34 points on the strength of a 9-of-17 shooting from the floor. Booker got help though from T.J. Warren, who dropped 31 points to go with five rebounds.

Marquese Chriss was not too shabby either with a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds along with two blocks.

The Suns, who are now 15-24, will hit the road as they pay the Denver Nuggets a visit this Wednesday.
